Our Founder<\/h2> \n \n\n

Yadira M. Lopez, co-founder and President of Tezana Insurance Services, has over 20 years of customer service and finance experience. Her primary focus with Tezana Insurance Services has been to utilize available resources to bring awareness and education to her community regarding the Affordable Care Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fresh out of high school, Ms. Lopez began her career in civil service. She held positions with the City of Inglewood as a Utility Collections Clerk, and as a Finance Technician in the Finance Department for the City of Huntington Park in the greater Los Angeles County for over 13 years. Due to her extensive years working in the public sector as a Finance Professional, this provided her with invaluable experience in Finance Management and Revenue Administration. Furthermore, she became the President of AFSCME Local 1769 Labor Union, which represented the employees of the City of Huntington Park from 2011 to 2013, offering labor-related resolutions to over 50 union members and helping negotiate and improve labor contracts. Needless to say, prior to working for local government offices, she spent a few years in various sales, marketing and management roles with Bank of America, Amp\u2019d Mobile and Western Federal Credit Union.<\/p>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n\n <\/div>\n\n \n\n \n \n \n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n

Ms. Lopez has brought accountability and success to her company with her profound knowledge of the Affordable Care Act through the California Marketplace. Such accomplishments have provided her with invaluable insight into the pros and cons of current healthcare reform. However, Ms. Lopez and her team continue to bear witness to the overall positive results of this new federal mandate by helping enroll individuals and families in their communities and sharing ways to avoid the tax penalty for not having health insurance coverage. Therefore, Ms. Lopez has earned a seat on \u201cCovered California\u2019s Certified Agent Advisory Round Table,\u201d which entitles her to represent Covered California in outreach events.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
